Free Dental Clinic
Hazon Yeshaya provides free dental clinics for children of impoverished families and the elderly including Holocaust survivors whose teeth would otherwise not be treated by a dentist. It was discovered that people in Israel were losing their teeth at an unprecedented rate simply because they could not afford simple dentistry.  In Israel dentistry is not covered by insurance. Private treatment is very expensive.  To make sure no one finds themselves in such a calamitous situation, the free dental clinics were established with the services of top dentists come to our in-house dental clinics.

All areas of dentistry including specialized services are offered.  These include endodontics, crowns and bridges, periodontal therapy and surgery, oral hygiene programs, fixed and removable dentures and orthodontic treatment.  All this is performed by general and specialist dentists.

The patients all register with Hazon Yeshaya, bringing with them documentation from the Ministry of Welfare proving Status A poverty, the most severe level of need.  Hazon Yeshaya seeks to provide relief for all those who continue to suffer from the pain and indignity of poverty.  Each dental treatment center costs about $350,000 to set up with the necessary equipment and about $300,000 a year to run.

In 2007, we had over 900 patients.  With the continuing generous help from Hazon Yeshaya supporters, we can expand this program to eventually reach over 2000 patients, young and old, who turn to us for help.
