Over 30,000 people visit Hazon Yeshaya each year to volunteer in our Soup Kitchen facilities. By peeling, chopping, cooking and serving hot meals to the poor, they help us keep overhead costs to a minimum - just 3%.
70% of our nutritious meals are delivered to thousands of children from poor homes around Israel, increasing their chances of success in school and in life. The remaining meals are devivered to the elderly, the sick and the house-bound, or eaten in one of our dining room facilities.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds find enormous satisfaction in preparing and serving meals to the needy, and seeing first-hand how Hazon Yeshaya is fighting poverty in Israel. Hazon Yeshaya is the place where you can make a difference.
We welcome volunteers at our Jerusalem Soup Kitchen from 10am – 2pm, Sunday to Friday including holidays. Groups should reserve in advance at: volunteers(at)hazonyeshaya.org
